QPI (TetR inverter) - AmilCP

AmilCP chromoprotein under expression of QPI inverter (tetR).

Bacteria with this device is constitutively blue due to the non-expression of tetR gene. If this device is assembled with any promoter, the reporter amilCP will be work in the reverse way of that promoter, this means: the cells will be blue if the promoter is induced or if it is constitutive, otherwise, the cells will express no color.

It is important to highlight that the inverter-activity does not work if there is tetracycline (or analogues) in the medium.

Here is an example of an E. coli culture carrying this device (with no upstream promoter).
