Applications of BBa_K1073027

When assembled with a promoter and under expression of cjBlue, colonies on agar plates as well as the liquid culture exhibit a greenish color (see BBa_K1073026). When we compared cjBlue with other chromoproteins like aeBlue (BBa_K1073020), eforRed (BBa_K1073022) and amilGFP (BBa_K1073024), the development of the color is not as strong. Thus, the iGEM Team Braunschweig 2013 decided not to use this protein as a reporter.
