Usage and Biology
This part does not include a promoter, thus the expression of cjBlue can be adjusted by using different promoters. During cultivation the chromoprotein cjBlue is expressed and stored intracellularly. The greenish color of the protein can be seen by the naked eye, thus the chromoprotein can be used as a reporter to distinguish cells easily.
