N-terminal His6-tag in RFC[25] N-Part
This parts codes for a N-terminal His6-tag flanked by RFC[25] N-part to allow C-terminal fusions
Usage and Biology
The so called N-terminal encoded 6xHis-Tag consists of six histidine residues and allows the C-terminal fusion proteins for protein purification after protein expression in E. coli. The iGEM Team of TU Munich 2013 used the 6x His-Tag to purify several recombinant proteins, which have been expressed in E. coli, by affinity chromatographie.
