KatG is a catalase, and serves to detoxify hydrogen peroxide. HpaC is an oxidoreductase capable of recycling FMN to FMNH<sub>2</sub> while converting NADH to NAD. This part is used in conjuctions with the 4S desulfurization pathway to replace DszD. 4S Desulfurization Pathway Optimization Circuit (PlacI/hpaC/RBS/katGLAA)

This part produces HpaC and KatG-LAA under control of an inducible lacI promoter.
