UCL iGEM 2012 modified BBa_K540000 for the purpose of increasing the adhesive properties of E. coli and marine bacteria of the roseobacter clade.
 
 
As such we have removed the original cobalt induced promoter, to produce a stand alone csgBAEFG operon with rbs [BBa_K729003[https://parts.igem.org/wiki/index.php?title=Part:BBa_K729003]].
 
 
We have also designed two additional constructs with a constitutive and T7 promoter and demonstrated successful expression of the csgBAEFG operon through congo red binding assays, BBa_K729017 and BBa_K729018.
