This chimeric fusion protein is blue light sensor. This protein is constructed with sensor domain and kinase domain. Sensor domain is sensory rhodopsin II (SRII), which fused by a flexible linker to transducer, halobacterium transducer protein II (HtrII). SRII is a repellent receptor sensing blue light (λ max 487 nm). SRII interacts with HtrII, which in turn controls the activity of a histidine kinase. Histidine kinase we used is the kinase domain of EnvZ. EnvZ phosphorylates response OmpR, which is regulator of two-compoment system. Phosphorylated OmpR activates OmpC promoter.

NpSRII-9a.a.linker_NpHtrII-EnvZ
