This construct was designed with the promoter BBa_R0010 in order to control transcription. We suspect transcription of 1-FFT to greatly inhibit bacterial growth with the production of plant inulin. LacI protein and CAP can succesfully inhibit transcription of both genes to allow the bacteria to grow. With the addition of IPTG to the medium, LacI will be inhibited and transcription can resume.

Reporter system for FFT (BBa_K899001)

Reporter system for characterization of fructan fructan fructosyltransferase (FFT) gene transcription, with green flourescent protein (GFP) as reporter and lacl as promoter.
