miRts luc
miRNA target for luciferase (artificial RNAi system)
Usage and Biology
- Put this sequence in the 3' UTR of a gene to place it under the control of miR-luc
This sequence contains 5 repeats that have partial complementarity with an artificial microRNA (from firefly luciferase gene). This target site is intended to mimic the natural microRNA silencing pathway (as opposed to siRNA silencing). The luciferase RNAi system is orthogonal to mammalian cell RNAi pathways, so it should not have any cross-talk with natural miRNAs/ targets.
