This part is one of team [http://2011.igem.org/Team:Amsterdam Amsterdam 2011]'s cold resistance BioBricks, also known as a CryoBrick. When transformed into ''E. coli'', it should bestow a certain degree of cold resistance. It was placed under control of the Lac operon's promoter (''pLacI'': [[Part:BBa_R0010|BBa_R0010]]) so that it may be expressed constitutively in ''LacI''-null strains, or inducibly in ''LacI''-capable strains. This promoter was taken from 2011's Spring Distribution Kit, as was the incorporated RBS. The coding region of this Brick is a new submission to the registry, also submitted separately as [[Part:BBa_K538000|BBa_K538000]].
