This part is composed of the constutitive promoter BBa_J23108 and a transcription factor merR. MerR can activate PmerT as a dimer in the presence of Hg(II) in a dose-response manner. We used the structure along with PmerT-RBS-GFP(BBa_K346096) to see how GFP expression vary in certain concentration of MerR when indcued by different concentraton of the Hg(II).
