Comparison of ALDH activities in the different cell extracts tested in our study.

Notes:

  • Negative control: Escherichia coli K12 carrying the part BBa_J13002 in the plasmid pSB1A2.
  • Strain 029A: Escherichia coli K12 carrying the part BBa_K398029 in the plasmid pSB1A2.
  • Strain 030A: Escherichia coli K12 carrying the part BBa_K398030 in the plasmid pSB1A2.
  • Positive control: Pseudomonas putida growing on a culture with M9 medium using octane (1% v/v) as sole carbon source.
