This plasmid was used by the Freiburg team for construction and cloning of parts according to the BioBrick Assembly standard 25.

Usage and Biology

This plasmid has been used to assemble and clone a variety of nucleotide sequences. As the assembly standard allows it, the creation of fusion proteins is easily achieved. The vector confers resistance towards ampicillin to the E. coli host cell. Since the inserted part is not expressed, toxic proteins can be cloned and combined.
