Design Notes

The gene is from the hok/sok system, which is used as the repressor of the hok mRNA. We replace its promoter with a strong promoter that can be activated by citrate, making sok a gene express when there is citrate in the environment to secure the living of cells. The gene sok is also a component of the plasmid anti-loss system.
