mRuby2 : reporter Red Fluorescent Protein
Description
mRuby 2 is a red fluorescent protein that was engineered to monitor biochemical processes in living cells using changes in Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET). Therefore, mRuby2 can be used as a reporter system. Here, mRuby2 was used as a transcriptional reporter, to control the transcriptional efficiency of the yeast promoter pADH1 (Part:BBa_I766556). The excitation wavelength is 559nm and the emission wavelength is 600nm.
