'''Initial tests:''' (Edinburgh iGEM 2009) As you can see from the photo above, this construct definitely produces EYFP and shows strong fluorescence. We have not yet performed experiments to confirm its inducibility with EnvZ agonist procaine (though the equivalent GFP construct, used to characterise the ''ompC'' promoter, showed inducibility) or via the hybrid signal transduction pathway, as our permit to work with explosives has not yet come through.

Applications of BBa_K216011

This part is designed to produce a visible response (EYFP) when induced by the signal transduction cascade controlled by the hybrid Trz signal transduction protein; see notes on part BBa_K216004 for details of how this works.

Initial tests: (Edinburgh iGEM 2009) As you can see from the photo above, this construct definitely produces EYFP and shows strong fluorescence. We have not yet performed experiments to confirm its inducibility with EnvZ agonist procaine (though the equivalent GFP construct, used to characterise the ompC promoter, showed inducibility) or via the hybrid signal transduction pathway, as our permit to work with explosives has not yet come through.
