RBS + OtsB
Composite part containing RBS for ligation to OtsA and promoter for production of trehalose.
RBS+OtsB This is an intermediate construct comprising a RBS upstream of the second enzyme for the production of trehalose. A functional transcriptional unit will be obtained upon the ligation of a promoter, RBS and the first enzyme (OtsA) upstream of the RBS. Furthermore, to close the unit a double terminator would be required downstream of the OtsB gene.
OtsB ( BBa_K200006) is the gene coding for the enzyme trehalose phosphatase. Here it has been combined with an RBS (BBa_B0034).Both OtsA and OtsB are required for the production of trehalose, so this BioBrick should be used in combination with the OtsA gene (BBa_K200005).
