AGM1-GFA1-GNA1-UAP1-AnCDA operon for one-step bacterial cellulose-chitosan synthesis

We created a single-tube reaction method to produce a bacterial cellulose-chitosan copolymer. This was achieved by combining a construct that can synthesize a bacterial cellulose-chitin copolymer with a deacetylase enzyme AnCDA. The deacetylase enzyme was linked to a signal peptide sequence, allowing for the secretion of the AnCDA to target and modify N-Acetylglucosamine residues within the polymer.
