PpchA

PpchA, the promoter of pchA, is present in the butyrate sensor derived from EHEC strain O157:H7, which was discovered by Nakanishi et al. (2009).[1] In the butyrate sensor, PpchA binds to a complex formed by leucine response regulatory protein (Lrp) and butyrate to activate the transcription of pchA regulators.
