The plasmid pYLXP' contains the expressiom cassette of alcohol dehydrogenase ADH4, which can catalyze the reaction of phenylacetaldehyde to 2-PE. The plasmid pYLXP' contains the expressiom cassette of alcohol dehydrogenase PAR8, which can catalyze the reaction of phenylacetaldehyde to 2-PE. The plasmid pYLXP' contains the expressiom cassette of alcohol dehydrogenase PAR2, which can catalyze the reaction of phenylacetaldehyde to 2-PE. Next, we transformed plasmids into Y. lipolytica and perform the whole-cell conversion of phenylacetaldehyde. The whole-cell biocatalytic conversion of 1 g/L phenylacetaldehyde by aforementioned strains gave 2-PE titers of 389.78 mg/L.

pYLXP'-ADH4
