<b> Lambert iGEM 2022</b>
Lambert iGEM attempted to characterize iSpinach to validate the improvements of iSpinach-D5-G30-A32 (BBa_K4245000). iSpinach-D5-G30-A32 is a co-crystallized, re-engineered version of iSpinach developed by researchers at the University of Strasbourg. We created BBa_K4245002, a composite part producing iSpinach; and BBa_K4245003, a composite part producing iSpinach-D5-G30-A32. The only difference is the basic aptamer part, allowing us to accurately compare the two aptamers. However, after failed attempts at cloning, Lambert iGEM decided to continue the characterization of the various Spinach aptamers in 2023.
