Lettuce Right
This part is the right component of the split fluorescent DNA aptamer Lettuce (BBa_K4245133), developed by the Weill-Cornell Medical College. Lettuce right is a 26 nucleotide long DNA aptamer that, when brought in close proximity to Lettuce left (BBa_K4245134), induces fluorescence of a GFP fluorophore mimic (Z)-4-(3,5-difluoro-4-hydroxybenzylidene)-2-methyl-1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-1H-imidazol-5(4 H)-one (DFHBI-1T) (VarnBuhler et al., 2022).
The mechanism in which the split Lettuce aptamer works is represented in Figure 1.
