cyoA promoter

cyoA code for the cytochrome bo3 oxidase which is involved in the aerobic respiratory chain. Fis activates cyoA expression during lag and early log phase. The expression of cyoA is increased under acidic growth conditions in aerobiosis. In conclusion, this promoter is activated during lag and early log phase due to the fis regulation, and the expression is decrease after that for both arcA and FNR regulation under anaerobic conditions. The rise after 4h is caused by the GadE regulation. However, we thought that, compared with the late log expression promoter “ansB”, it won’t be a big trouble.
