yf1(N37C)-RBS-fixJ
Under light conditions, YF1 protein is excited and has kinase activity, which phosphorylates and activates FixL protein. Under dark conditions, YF1 protein does not phosphorylate FixL protein. This composite part is the key part that mainly converts light signals into intracellular signals. We mutated position 37 N of YF1 to C to improve its response to blue light and better regulate gene expression
Usage
This composition part serves as the signal conversion part of the photocontrol system, and its sensitivity to light determines the sensitivity of the photocontrol system to light. We designed the mutant yf1 (N37C) to expand the dynamic range of regulated gene expression under different signal intensities of the light control system, which would be more conducive to the abundant expression of downstream genes under dark conditions.
Biology
YF1 receives the light signal and transmits this signal to FixJ in the form of phosphorylation to regulate the opening and closing of the PfixK2(BBa_). promoter.
