Description
The Sc4Des gene encodes a ∆-4 desaturase of 427 amino acids from Schizochytrium sp. that catalyzes the conversion of Docosapentaenoic acid (DPA; C22:5n-3) to Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA; C22:6n- 3).
