Dermaseptin B1 (AKA MsrA2) expression construct with LacI regulated promoter
This part contains the CDS of the antimicrobial peptide Dermaseptin B1 (BBa_K2577001) under the promotion of a LacI regulated promoter (BBa_R0010). This construct also contains an RBS under the part name BBa_B0032 as well as a 6xHis tag on the C- terminal for purification with IMAC and lastly a double terminator (BBa_B0015).
Usage and Biology
This synthetic derivative of dermaseptin B1, MsrA2 (N-Met-dermaseptin B1) has proven to possess activity against phytopathogenic fungi such as Alternaria, Cercospora , Fusarium, Phytophthora, Pythium, Rhizoctonia and Verticillium sp [1].
