The RBS sequence, or ribosome binding site, is located several sequences upstream of the gene expression frame and is an important sequence for pre-translational recognition and binding of the ribosome. When the DNA fragment downstream of the promoter and upstream of the terminator is transcribed out of the mRNA, the ribosome recognizes and binds the RBS sequence on the mRNA and then scans down until it recognizes the start codon and begins translation.

Corynebacterium glutamicum weak RBS

This is a weak strength RBS, which is optimized from the original ones in Corynebacterium glutamicum and can decreasing gene expression by reducing translation in Corynebacterium glutamicum.
By applying the weak strength RBS, reducing gene expression be made through regulation on the translation level. It has been verified that this RBS can realize reduction in Corynebacterium glutamicum. However, application in other species is not clear yet. Sequence and Features
