Kanamycin Resistance Terminator for Synechococcus

This terminator allows the transcription and expression of kanamycin resistance (KanR) in Synechococcus elongatus PCC 7942, optimized for this photosynthetic chassis as opposed to other bacteria. Specifically, this part was created in conjunction with the kanamycin resistance coding sequence (BBa_K4047019) and the kanamycin promoter sequence (BBa_K4047020) as part of the plasmid BBa_K4047039.

This part was functional in wet lab experiments, allowing transcription of functional kanamycin resistance and growth of transformed colonies on kanamycin-containing BG11 plates.
