ompA promoter
Description
ompA promoter is a constitutive promoter that drives the expression of OmpA transmembrane protein in E. coli and other enterobacteria [1].
Biology
The ompA promoter is -35/-10 region upstream of the OmpA gene in E. coli MG1655. OmpA protein is regulated by two overlapping promoters ompAp1 and ompAp2 [1,2].
Usage
ompA promoter was used to regulate the expression of OmpA/OprF chimeric protein in the IFN-γ sensing system.
