Design Notes

TEF2 maps on chromosome II in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. pTEF(TEF2) was obtained by PCR amplification using Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4741 genome as template. The amplified product is a 1000bp sequence upstream of the TEF2 coding sequence, which is a putative TEF2 promoter.
