In our study, we aimed to produce a system in which the coding sequence in the middle of the bistable system can be completely concealed. That is, there is no leakage during the normal phase of the functioning genetic circuit. Therefore, this composite part that encodes the AraC-pC-pBAD-sfGFP is used as a reference of what the bacterial colony should be like when there exists leakage, which means our design of the "lock" system failed.
