PbotR from C. botulinum
Regulatory region for botR comprising the promoter and 5’UTR
Usage and Biology
This regulatory region comprising the promoter and 5’UTR is found naturally upstream of the botR gene in C. botulinum. BotR is an alternative sigma fact involved in the positive regulation of botulinum neurotoxin. In our project we use PbotR to drive the expression of botR which is central to the linking of volatile production in our reporter strain with a prediction of toxin production in fodostuffs following food manufacture.
