<p align="justify"> OprC is a copper specific TonB-dependent transporter which is located in the outer membrane (Quintana <i>et al.</i>, 2017). The sequence was taken from Pseudomonas brassicacearum 3Re2-7 13, a not yet published strain. It comes in three variations: as basic BioBrick (<bbpart>BBa_K2638200</bbpart>), as composite BioBrick controlled by a T7 promoter (<bbpart>BBa_K2638201</bbpart>) and as composite BioBrick controlled by a pBad/araC promoter (<bbpart>BBa_K2638204</bbpart>). It was characterized by taking toxicity curves in copper solutions, NPN assays and ONPG assays.

OprC (TonB dependent copper transport porin)

OprC is an outer membrane porin which binds and transports specifically copper. It belongs to the the superfamily of the TonB-dependent transporters. This variant of OprC was taken from Pseudomonas brassicacearum 3Re2-7 13, a not yet published strain.
