SasA coding region

Summary

It is involved in signal transduction. Participates in the KaiABC clock protein complex, which constitutes the main circadian regulator in cyanobacteria, via its interaction with KaiC. Required for robustness of the circadian rhythm of gene expression and is involved in clock outputs.
As part of the Kai circuit, phosphorylated KaiC can phosphorylate SasA, allowing SasA to participate in the downstream signaling pathway as a histidine kinase. Phosphorylated SasA can phosphorylate RpaA which acts as a specific transcription factor to participate in the expression of related genes.
A separate fragment is 1164 bp.
