The upstream riboswitch sequence can be adapted to any organosilicon of interest using the {{#tag:html|<a href="http://2017.igem.org/Team:Heidelberg/Software/MAWS">MAWS</a>}} 2.0 software. So far, variants of this part have been used only for proof-of-principle applications but this part is designed to have a variety of applications in the cytochrome c engineering, for example, the phage-related discontinuous evolution ({{#tag:html|<a href="http://2017.igem.org/Team:Heidelberg/Predcel">PREDCEL</a>}}) approach.
