Our team used this pPsiR promoter together with the ''Agrobacterium tumefaciens'' PsiR transcription factor ([[Part:BBa_K2448006|BBa_K2448006]]) to build a Psicose biosensor ([[Part:BBa_K2448026|BBa_K2448026]]). The results show that pPsiR is functional in ''E. coli'' and that it behaved as predicted under and without induction.

pPsiR from Agrobacterium tumefaciens

This part is the promoter region (0.36 kb upstream) of the PsiR gene of Agrobacterium tumefaciens str. C58 (Atu4743)

pPsiR is predicted to be repressed by the PsiR transcription factor (BBa_K2448006) which is inhibited in the presence of D-Psicose [1].

Usage and Biology

Our team used this pPsiR promoter together with the Agrobacterium tumefaciens PsiR transcription factor (BBa_K2448006) to build a Psicose biosensor (BBa_K2448026). The results show that pPsiR is functional in E. coli and that it behaved as predicted under and without induction.
