Design Notes
In addition to having a M293T mutation the TrpE sequence contains a his-tag in order to allow for detection of expression through the use of Western Blotting.

The sequence originated from the MG1655 E. coli strain but carries a M293T point mutation in order to avoid negative feedback inhibition by L-tryptophan (source - Gu et al has further link), in addition a hexa his-tag has been added.
