An IPTG inducible construct in BL21(DE3) which produces a modified FimH protein fused with GFP. This modified protein will involve itself in pilus biosynthesis and is placed at the very end of the pilus structures on the bacterial cell surface membrane. FimH retains its mannose binding capability, but also fluoresces.
