UNS Standard Adapter with Red Chromoprotein.
This is a red chromoprotein expression construct on the UNS backbone standard developed by William and Mary iGEM 2016, which includes UNS Sequences developed by Torella et. al 2013 as insert flankers that are interior to the Prefix and Suffix regions. This allows ease of cloning via Gibson Assembly or Golden Gate Assembly.
The purpose of this part is to provide a standard and visible reporter on the UNS standard, for teams to use as a template for obtaining the UNS backbone.
The UNS2 (BBa_K2066018) and UNS3 (BBa_K2066019) sequences are taken from: Torella, J. P., Boehm, C. R., Lienert, F., Chen, J. H., Way, J. C., & Silver, P. A. (2013). Rapid construction of insulated genetic circuits via synthetic sequence-guided isothermal assembly. Nucleic acids research, gkt860.
