Device for rhamnose-dependent expression of an OsmY fusion to E. coli Hfq..

A composite of three biobricks to give rhamnose-regulated expression of an sRNA secretion system - a translational fusion between E. coli OsmY and E. coli Hfq.

Figure 1. Whole cell blots expressing OsmY-Hfq (E.coli) fusion protein under the control of the rhamnose promoter.

Figure 2. Supernatant blots of OsmY-HA (BBa_K1963007), OsmY-Hfq (E. coli- BBa_K1963008) and OsmY-Hfq (Serratia BBa_K1963009). Western blotting with anti-HA antibody shows secretion of OsmY-HA, and OsmY-Hfq (E. coli) and anti-RNAP antibody shows no antigen detected in the supernatant therefore the cells remained intact and there was no cell lysis.
