This is an improved version of [[Part:BBa_K584027|BBa_K584027]], which expresses an Ice Nucleating Protein, encoded by [[BBa_K1896002|''inaZ'']]. The original part was not genetically stable, probably due to toxicity caused by overexpression of the membrane bound INP. Replacing the promoter with a weaker variant proved to be effective in reducing toxicity, while still maintaining activity as biological ice nucleator.

inaZ (INP) generator
