Streptavidin

This part codes for Streptavidin which binds with biotin. The Streptavidin coding region does not contain any rbs nor terminator.This part does not pose any biological threat.

The UGent Belgium 2016 iGEM team improved this part by making it more practical for use in fusion proteins. The new part, BBa_K1896000, codes for a monomeric Streptavidin mutant, contains an upstream peptide linker and is compatible with the RFC25 "Freiburg standard".
