BolA gene with strong constitutive promoter, RBS and terminator
Introduction
BolA is a gene that controls the morphology of E. coli in the stress response (Santos, Freire, Vicente, & Arraiano, 1999). By overexpressing this gene at 37°C, naturally rod-shaped E. coli cells will become spherical (Aldea, Hernandez-Chico, De La Campa, Kushner, & Vicente, 1988). In this part, the gene is under control of a constitutive promoter, RBS and terminators.
