Constitutive Promoter-RBS-Unstable RFP (LVA-Tagged)
Produces unstable RFP under a constitutive promoter. This mutant RFP originated from coral (Part:BBa_E1010). This BioBrick includes a LVA-ssrA degradation tag that decreases the lifespan of this protein in E. coli. This LVA tag is reported to degrade RFP at a rate of -0.018 per minute, yielding a half-life of approximately one hour.
