Rv3034c is a gene which encodes for a putative acyltransferase which will hopefully acylate glycogen chains. This gene is encoded alongside GlgB which codes for a branching enzyme which will cut alpha-1,4 links and re-anneal the strand to the main glycogen strand through an alpha-1,6 linkage, therefore creating a branch. These enzymes are promoted by an IPTG-inducible promoter and are encoded within the pSB1C3 standard vector. The bacteria therefore shows chloramphenicol resistance.

K1618024 contains the coding sequences for GlgB from <i>E. coli</i> and Rv3034c from <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> (strain ATCC 25618). GlgB cleaves alpha-1,4 linkages in glycogen chains and transfers the cleaved branch onto the main glycogen chain using an alpha-1,6 linkage to make a branch point. Rv3034c is a putative acyltransferase. This part will potentially make branched, acylated glycogen.

Pro-GlgB-Rv3034c

K1618024 contains the coding sequences for GlgB from E. coli and Rv3034c from Mycobacterium tuberculosis (strain ATCC 25618).
