P335-Φ31 inducible middle promoter + RBS+ sfGFP + term
A phage-inducible promoter natively located in the middle of the genome of the P335 species lactococcal phage Φ31 with the B0034 ribosomal binding site (RBS) (BBa_K1820001), a super-folded green fluorescent protein (sfGFP) from the 2014 Groningen team that was codon optimized for Bacillus subtilis (BBa_K1365020), and a transcriptional terminator.
Usage and Biology
Transcription from this promoter is induced after phage infection of Lactococcus lactis, resulting in expression of sfGFP (previously shown to have a high level of fluorescent activity in L. lactis). Allowing for fluorescent detection of Φ31 phage infection in L. lactis.
