Background of nicF:
Part Description:
Codon optimized coding sequence of nicF, an enzyme from the Pseudmonas putida bacterium KT2240, for E.Coli. This composite part was used to make our part BBa_K1813017 and BBa_K1813023 .
Part Origin:
Originally cloned and characterized by Jimenez et al. from Pseudmonas putida KT2240 [1].
Part Function:
The enzyme coded for by nicF converts Maleamic Acid to Maleic Acid.
