MicF non-coding regulatory RNA

MicF is a non-coding RNA which regulates expression of the ompF (outer membrane porin F) gene in E. coli. MicF binds to the 5’-UTR of ompF mRNA, to prevent translation and promote degradation [1].

BBa_K1766000 is intended to be used together with BBa_K1766001 (MicF Target) to regulate protein expression.

The BioBrick has been sequenced and confirmed as the correct construct. Due to time constraints iGEM Stockholm 2015 were unable to caracterize this part.
