acyl-CoA thioesterase 2
The acyl-CoA thioesterase 2 (tesB) is an enzyme of biosynthetic butyrate pathway. This enzyme is endogenous to Escherichia coli bacterium, its substrate is Butyryl coA and the direct product is butyrate. It needs the coenzyme A (coA-SH) for the synthesis of butyrate.
