Carbonic anhydrase (csoS3) and shell-proteins (csoS14) of the carboxysome of H. neapolitanus

This BioBrick is a cloning intermediate of the carboxysome from Halothiobacillus neapolitanus. The carbonic anhydrase (can) is needed for the CO2 fixation in the working carboxysome as it converts incoming hydrogen carbonate into carbon dioxide inside of the carboxysome. This step is essential for the CO2 fixation. The shell-proteins build the microcompartment together with the shell-associated protein. More information can be found here BBa_K1465223.
